Gordon Ramsay’s Buttermilk Pancakes

METHOD

  1. The following recipe shows how to make the basic buttermilk pancake mixture. Underneath you will find variations and extra ingredients to make your pancakes extra delicious!
  2. Makes 2 stacks of pancakes.

PLAIN BUTTERMILK PANCAKES:

  1. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and whist until foamy
  2. Mix all other ingredients together
  3. Fold in egg whites
  4. Heat small sized frying pan on the hob
  5. Ladle one batch of the mixture into the saucepan and swirl around so it covers the surface evenly
  6. Cook until browned, then flip with a spatula
  7. Serve onto a plate and keep warm in the oven
  8. Continue until all batter is used
  9. Serve and enjoy!

CARAMELIZED BANANA:

 

  1. Thinly slice the bacon and cook in oven for 8-10 minutes
  2. While the bacon is cooking, slice the bananas and brown in a frying pan
  3. Place the bacon and bananas on the pancakes and drizzle with maple syrup 

BLUEBERRIES & HONEY:

  • Small punnet of fresh blueberries
  • 50ml of honey
  1. Drizzle pancakes with honey
  2. Sprinkle with blueberries
