Old Fashioned French Toast Recipe:
Ingredients, Always Organic
- 10 to 12 slices of bread
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
- butter – for frying
Place bread slices in egg mixture – flipping once – until fully coated and mostly soaked through.
Melt 1 to 2 Tablespoons of butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry bread slices until golden brown on both sides – about 4 minutes for the first side and 3 minutes for the other side.
Add more butter as necessary between batches.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Makes 4 servings.
