Batter for Vegetables


  • YIELD 1cups


  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1teaspoon baking soda
  • 1teaspoon salt
  • 1teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

  1. Combine dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and egg. Beat till smooth. Dip thin sliced veggies into batter then deep fry. Drain on paper towel if desired.
